Question: Winter Wedding in January?
I’m getting married in January and the colors are Royal Blue and Silver. I was wondering what are different ideas for what my bridesmaids could carry down the aisle and what are “winter flowers” that I could use for my bouquet?

Or you could use sheaves of winter wheat – the lovely bronze color would be outstanding – and a sheaf of wheat was once regarded as a fertility symbol, so would be appropriate for a wedding.

The longtime church members are making affordable one-of-a-kind silk floral arrangements that are perfect for most occasions. In a time of sky-rocketing heating costs, it’s a great way to raise money for the congregation’s fuel fund and snow removal. Longtime Upper Peninsula reporter Greg Peterson has the story. — time: — A winter hobby has blossomed into a colorful and fun way to raise money for the Bethany Lutheran Church in Ishpeming. Designing and creating silk flower arrangements are a passion for Shirley Tyni – Kay Frederickson and Ruthie Solberg. They first buy a vase and then coordinate flowers to match. They are even willing to do a design by request. During the first three years, the trio has made over 300 flower arrangements – and all are unique. Most of the floral arrangements run about ten dollars and are perfect gift for just about any reason or occassion.
