Help choose a Persian baby name!!?

Posted in Silk Flowers | 12 comments

Question: Help choose a Persian baby name!!?
Hi, asking for some opinions for a friend.. She is Persian and her husband is British, and they would like a name that has Persian roots (but she doesn’t like more old-fashioned or traditional names, she wants something more modern or unique) , but is easily pronounceable, not hard to spell, etc. Here are some she has come up with, please comment on them-

Thanks!

Girls:
Ava Gallagher (persian, “voice/sound”)
Samira Gallagher (persian, “flower”)
Soraya Gallagher (persian, name of constellation)
Suri Gallagher (persian, “rose” )
Zari Gallagher (persian, “brocaded silk”)

Boys:
Kia Gallagher(persian, “king/defender”)
Jasper Gallagher (persian, “treasurer”)
**Kian Gallagher: (persian, “kings”) (pr. key-on)
Kayvon/Keyvon Gallagher (persian, “world, universe)
Shaya Gallagher (persian, “worthy”) (pr. shy-uh)
Cyrus Gallagher (persian King’s name)

oh, and last name is Gallagher, and they already have a three year old daughter named Leyla Azura Gallagher.

Paint Brush
